The rain? has now reached biblical proportions. This is the seventh day of rain in a row.
Meanwhile, I am half way through my exams. I took Greek today and therefore I am very relieved.

PLEASE:
Does anyone want to spend some time working through Hanson and Quinn with me this summer? It's the scourge of the univers, I know, but I need a grammar review and I'd rather not do it alone. I know some of you know some Greek. And I know which ones you are. And some of you even did Hanson and Quin(n?). So don't even try to hide from the almighty power that is goats, Homer, and the agora.

Finals are getting to me a bit. Does it show?

So, Boston Marathon today, meaning Wellesley Scream Tunnel! It was really a lot of fun. Here's some general info about it. Basically, the whole college lines up on one side of the road to cheer on the runners, and it's a tradition to try to kiss them and scream at them. I saw a photo from last year where one girl had a sign saying "Finally, some men at Wellesley!"

Anyway, it was really entertaining. The first runners going through basically ignored us, but they were the really, really, really fast ones, so yeah... I guess if you've already run half a marathon in 30-45 minutes, a bunch of screaming college students aren't going to distract you. Then a very very intimidated group of soldiers/marines/no idea what they were but they were in army uniforms, and a few others (half of whom looked jubuliant at being treated like rock stars, and the other half looked terrified for their lives) ran by. It would seem that finding yourself in the middle of 2400 screaming Wellesley students is a bit intimidating.

A bunch of different runners took photos with me and my group, and blew us kisses. Our main goal was to see how many we could get to slap us five. A few were had their cell phones out so whoever they were talking to could hear all the screaming. A group of students right next to us had a giant "Kiss Me!!" sign, which seemed like fun until this really weird old guy with a beard decided to take it very literally. The girl holding it jumped back nearly a yard. And that was Marathon Monday!

So, in that I'm not so much a fan of actually updating any more, I give you two photos, one from spring break, one from early second semester.

Name ten of life's simple pleasures that you like most, then pick ten people to do the same. Try to be original and creative and not to use things that someone else has already used.

1. Closing night.

2. Funny/insane posts on community, à la "My yogurt has a bone in it!" (on food) or "If you're going to change your name, you may as well change it to 'I Heart the Patriarchy'" (on marriage)

3. Watching the stars on the roof of the science center with my darling roommate.

4. Seeing the singular first person, indicative, active, present of your paradigm verb. "luo," I love you so.

5. Walking from Trinity to Anna's house, slowly, with Anna, kind of dragging her. This is outdated, I suppose, but I have tons of good memories relating to it.

6. Tank tops on suffocatingly hot New York days.

7. Playing a song and then realizing that what you've played is actually complete.

8. Sitting on my windowsills at home.

9. Translating Greek in a room with a lot of sunlight.

10. Vacuuming with all the windows open (the only appropriate way to vacuum).

I choose: cowfanatic, madam_rosmerta, oot7388, rozzyland08, sephiroth01, smaragdos, apehead (you've been tagged twice now, OBEY!), tigerbaby1024, under_pressure, muffinmuncher
I don't really know if that's 10 or not.

It occurred to me that it is supremely stupid to make my online journal friends-only. So it isn't any more. Just felt like sharing that.

Anyway, not much going on, but I felt I had to share that little gem. Back to Wellesley next Saturday.
